TrainingFirst flight

How do you know your aircraft will fly properly? The best way to find out is to join a radio controlled model flying club - there are hundreds listed on the BMFA web site, see our links page. Nearly all of these clubs will have an experienced flyer available who will check it over and advise on any necessary work that may need to be done. In addition to being important to the the life of the aircraft this is essential for safety which should always be of paramount importance.

Once any remedial work has been completed an experienced flyer will test fly the aircraft and start training, usually with a buddy lead system which allows two transmitters to be connected together and control toggled between trainer & trainee.

Instructions and take off...Instructions are given in handling the controls and the trainer will take the aircraft up into the air....
Training yourself

Trainee's turn...and then control is switched over to the trainee with the trainer ready to take back control when it all goes wrong.
